New York is known for being a walking-city so picking the perfect location to maximise your sightseeing is crucial. Luckily, we found the perfectly positioned spot in the Bryant Park Hotel. The Room
Our room was a corner suite and oh my did it deliver. You walk into a spacious living room and dining room with sweeping views of the park and library and you immediately feel like you’ve found your home in New York. The decor is light, bright and minimal which keeps the view as the entire focus. The separate kingsize bedroom is also flanked with views of the city so you can fall asleep to the twinkling lights of the never sleeping city.

As you would expect for a room of this size, the bathroom also doesn’t scrimp with a large tub, walk-in shower and double sinks.
The lounge area has plenty of space for cases and large wardrobes so you feel totally at ease and at home.
Food and Amenities

As many New York hotels are, Bryant Park is a base from which to explore the city rather than a destination hotel in itself. The hotel has a Mediterranean styler bar, Ceylon and a Japanese restaurant, Koi which serves breakfast and dinner but due to the many eateries on offer in the city we didn’t avail ourselves of these. The public spaces are a little tired, so much so we were apprehensive while leading up to entering into our room. Once we were in our room every concern evaporated as it was an incredible space.
We particularly loved being able to grab takeaway coffee and muffins from the lobby to start our days and we took them “to-go” as we rose early with jet-lag to be amongst the city as it was waking up.
When to go: NYC is a treat all year round – pick your season and enjoy!
Length of stay: You need at least three full days to maximise the copious amount of sites the city has to offer. Add a fourth day if you want to get out to Ellis Island or take your time shopping on 5th Avenue.
Overall
Though the public spaces need a little updating, we could not fault the service room or location.  Bryant Park was an oasis for us to return to and its position meant we could pop back frequently to rest our feet and relieve ourselves of shopping bags!
